We present you a research study on the talent capabilities needed to be highly effective in contemporary analytics jobs. Eighty percent of the world’s data was created in the last two years alone (Rometty, 2014). This explosion of data has created greater opportunities for organizations to use analytics to gain even deeper insights that can inform smarter business decisions. Organizations, however, vary greatly in the degree to which they have advanced their analytics functions to capitalize on this volume of available information. Analytics leaders are 166 percent more likely to make most decisions based on data and are 2.2 times more likely to have a formal career path for analytics (IBM Institute for Business Value, 2013).
